Before its official release, Xiaomi’s MIUI Android skin’s replacement, HyperOS, has been leaked online. The new operating system (OS) shell will launch alongside the Xiaomi 14 series, according to the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, who is also expected to unveil its newest flagship devices at the end of the month. Users have recently uploaded a number of photographs of the impending HyperOS skin on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, showcasing various features of the user interface.
HyperOS Image
Pictures of the future HyperOS user interface that were leaked on Wednesday. The temperature is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen in the first image, and the temperature ranges for the forecast section are displayed at the bottom. The month layout tiles in the calendar app have been changed with a rounded square style.
HyperOS Control
The new HyperOS will have a user interface that is comparable to Xiaomi’s MIUI, which included a control center with quick toggles that was somewhat reminiscent of Apple’s Control Center on iOS. With a small layout change, the brightness and volume sliders, as well as the embedded now playing widget, all resemble those on iOS 17. At the top of the screen are toggles for Wi-Fi and mobile data, while in the lower half of the screen are many toggles for quick settings.
HyperOS Feature
The home screen on HyperOS is shown to feature two square-shaped widgets that show the time and the weather and also show the name of the app underneath — this is another design element that appears to be inspired by Apple’s operating system.
HyperOS Skin
The next HyperOS skin may be seen in yet another set of four screenshots released by Weibo user Wei Xiaotian/ Alan (translated from Chinese). A sizable, vertically aligned digital clock that appears to be customizable is displayed on the lock screen.
HyperOS Lock Screen
Another image reveals a fresh customization option for the lock screen. Google’s Pixel phones running Android 14 now have more lock screen personalization choices. According to the screenshot posted by the Weibo user, users of HyperOS will be able to tap various components of the lock screen to change the font and color selections.
HyperOS Launched
The new HyperOS operating system will debut on the Xiaomi 14 series of smartphones, as announced by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. According to rumors, the new phones will go on sale on October 27.
