Google said on Thursday that it would begin producing Pixel smartphones in India. The Pixel 8 will be manufactured by the search engine giant in India, and the first models are anticipated to go on sale in 2024. The Pixel 8 and the more expensive Pixel 8 Pro models were both introduced by the business earlier this month in India and other international regions. A Titan M2 security chip and a proprietary Google Tensor G3 processor run the device. With the Extreme Battery Saver mode, the phone is said to have a battery life of up to 72 hours and a dual back camera configuration.

The company announced at its Google for India 2023 event that it aims to produce its smartphones in India, seven years after the release of its first Pixel-branded smartphone. The company said it will cooperate with both domestic and international manufacturers and will initially assemble the Pixel 8 in India.
According to the company, manufacture of the Pixel 8 and likely Google’s upcoming Pixel smartphones would start in India in 2024. By the end of the following year, customers can anticipate seeing Pixel 8 units made in India.
Google is now the most recent smartphone manufacturer to begin producing its devices in India as a result of the news. Competitors Apple and Samsung also produce a portion of their cellphones here. It is not yet apparent, though, whether the cost of Google’s Pixel smartphones would decrease once more products are produced in the nation.
The firm now provides help at 28 service centers spread over 27 cities that are run by F1 Info Solutions, but Google has also stated that it aims to expand the reach of its service network to other cities and places nationwide.
